Looking Through the Window
‘Looking Through the Window’ is 27-year-old Anushka Khanna’s second collection for Lakme Fashion Week.
Keeping in line with her signature aesthetic, this collection will focus on print, colour and easy silhouettes.
Khanna has also exclusively collaborated with London-based artist Rewati Shahani who is known for her detailed renderings of buildings and birds, which Khanna has translated into the collection through prints , applique and intricate embroidery using both thread work and beading. With Art Deco window panes as a reference (Khanna showcases them in bright hues) and the idea of looking through them, thecollection focuses on light layering, wispy details and transparency in fabrics like organza and georgette while the colours of thecollection span dawn to dusk.
